Since 2013, Dance ELITE Performance Academy has been more than a studio – we’ve been a safe haven, a stage, and a second home for our community. Here, we don’t just teach dance steps; we teach confidence, resilience, and Black excellence. From our tiniest twirling stars to our fierce pre-professionals, every dancer finds their rhythm, their purpose, and their power.
Our instructors are real ones – professional choreographers who live and breathe this art form. Many of them grew up right here on these floors, and now they’re pouring that same love, discipline, and culture back into the next generation. Because at DEPA, dance isn’t just what we do. It’s how we heal, how we celebrate, how we speak when words aren’t enough. It’s a legacy – and we’re just getting started.
The Vision
At DEPA, we’re not just teaching dance – we’re building a movement. We offer cutting-edge classes in ballet, jazz, modern, tap, liturgical, and hip hop, all taught by instructors who live this art form. Our faculty includes pre-professional and professional dancers who bring real-world experience, mentorship, and heart to every class, helping our young artists grow into powerful performers and even stronger people.
Our motto, “Building Confidence. Celebrating Culture. Creating Community.” speaks to everything we stand for. We honor each student’s journey, meeting them where they are and pushing them to levels they didn’t think were possible. The training here is rigorous, but it’s bigger than dance – it’s about preparing our kids to win in life with discipline, pride, and purpose.
At DEPA, our young artists learn to speak with their bodies and their voices. Every class starts with our DEPA Pledge, grounding them in confidence, self-discipline, and the unapologetic power of their own expression.
